Zippo fever!
I’ve been wanting a real Zippo lighter for a while, but never found “the one”. This was the second best after my opinion. I have always been fond of the tricks that can be accomplished by training and therefore I am willing to burn some fingertips;) So far I’ve learned the maintenance, how to recognise an authentic one from the false Zippos. Also the tricks called; Top pop, Twilight zone, Bar slide and Hot swing.
I haven’t got a totally hang of it yet, but practice makes perfect!
My budgies new home

Change is good and lately I’ve experienced a lot of them! So now it’s the birds turn to get some too! They now got a bigger cage with two more practical food dispensers. This way I won’t have to refill them EVERY day and nothing more than empty seed shells gets whirled in the air when my budgies flies in the cage.
It didn’t take long before they both got comfortable in their new home^^
Old lence
I Got an old Nikon lence (35mm-105mm)from my mom that is from the 90′s. It’s heavy as f’**k, but I thought I give it a try. Yeah, the photos are not of the best quality, but i kinda like the old feeling I get from them.

Origami stars
I’ve always been a bit restless. Whenever I watch a movie or a fun series, I often can’t sit still. I have to do something! Either shake my leg up and down, braid some of my hair, knit something or varnish my nails.
Two years ago I got tired of doing those things. I knew that Kazzira was doing some origami stuff and I asked her to learn me how to do it. After that I got addicted to those cute, colored origami strips. I now had something fun to do when I got restless!
As time went by I started to get a lot of stars lying around at my place. I couldn’t just throw them away or hide them in a drawer, so I got myself a Norgesglass (google it) and put them all in there. And just when the boredom by folding those strips came around, I actually managed to fill the jar up to the brim. Perfect timing!
Yes, I am considering filling up a new jar. I just have to figure out what type of paper strips I should use this time. Don’t wanna go for the rainbow theme again. Any ideas? ^^
The birds and the…cat?
The other day a buddie of mine came by and brought with him his cat. Yes, you’ve met him before; Caspian. This cat is accustomed to being around budgies and other birds, but his fascination towards my birds never stops to amaze him.
..well, until recently
The close encounter didn’t seem to be a big problem for either of them until the cage got opened and my budgies flew out. At first they all seemed to enjoy themself with each other. The birds flew all across the room to get a closer look at Caspian, and he tried to jump and catch them for the same reason.
But that was until the poor kitty crashed into a table and thought this was the budgies doing. He hid himself under a pillow on the sofa and stayed there. After a while the birds got bored and went back to the cage.
The startled cat crawled out from his hiding place and respectively watched them with even more curiosity. This time a bit further away;)
I think Caspian learned something that day and so did I. Keep control of your own curiosity. Or else it might kill you some day. Good thing that fur ball still got eight lives to go..
Spring
The snow is melting, the days gets longer, birds are coming back, people fall in love and I don’t like this season at all!
Now that the snow is melting there’s slushie water all over the place. The days get longer which make my biological clock go bananas. The birds that are coming back shits all over the place and wakes me up (way too) early in the morning and the bugs are coming back to life, ready to invade our homes.
And if that was not enough; Now you can see EVERY single dog poo from the last season that owners thought would disappear by itself. People french kissing everywhere, kids screaming and running around like maniacs and their parents are riding on their bicycles like they own the pavement.
This just makes me want to facepalm myself so hard that I get KNOCKED OUT!!!
..Other than that I think the spring is pretty great
*sigh!*
Sundays..
When the opportunity comes by, I take a walk. With the camera in the bag, the and the fresh air in my nostrils, I feel like I could walk forever.
After living in Oslo for a few years, I’ve never been more grateful for the quiet moments I get when I’m in my hometown. Especially on Sundays. I always go for a walk on Sundays. That’s when you can even hear a pin falling on the ground in the middle of the city. Not many people are in sight. The busiest road in town are completely empty. Even the birds are quiet. Thats what I call total silence. Beautiful silence..
I love Sundays.
